Talha John Baloch, MD

Dr. Baloch was born in Pakistan and raised in the Chicagoland area. He is a graduate of Saint James School of Medicine and completed his General Psychiatry Residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL, where he served as Chief Resident and Inpatient Floor Chief. He then went on to complete an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. He currently holds board certifications for both General and Addiction Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Over the years, he has received awards from and presented at numerous national conferences for organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association, American Neuropsychiatric Association, Association for Academic Psychiatry, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

His interests include Cross-Cultural Psychiatry and Ethnic Diversity, Stigma Resolution and Mental Health Advocacy. As part of his advocacy work, he had served as a team captain for the Out of The Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, attending car shows, reading, and spending time outdoors (during the few brief months of summer that Chicago has to offer).
